Police to ensure implementation on directions to combat coronavirus
Islamabad : The Islamabad Police will ensure complete implementation on directions issued to combat Coronavirus only for the purpose of safety of citizens.
It was stated by DIG (Operations) Waqar Uddin Syed here on Sunday while reviewing the efforts of Islamabad Operational Police against COVID-19. Police teams distributed gloves, masks and sanitizers among people and asked them to follow directions issued by district administration in combating Coronavirus.
The DIG (Operations) said Islamabad Police have launched campaign to aware citizens about precautionary measures in fight against Coronavirus and constituted several teams which are giving safety tips to people.
As per directions of IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar, police and volunteers are jointly running the campaign while masks and gloves are being distributed by the police.
DIG (Operations)) Waqar Uddin Syed is himself monitoring this campaign and community policing is being resorted for awareness among people.
DIG (Operations) Waqar Uddin Syed hoped that this fight against Coronavirus would be won through cooperation of people. He said that all SPs, DSPs and other police officials are fully coordinating with teams of district administration in their respective areas.
Every police officials of Islamabad police is performing duty with dedication and considering it as national responsibility, he added.
He said action would be taken as per law in case of non-pursuance on directions of District administration. On behalf of Islamabad police, he appealed the citizens to stay at home for safety to own and other lives and avoid unnecessary movement. He said that milk, vegetables, chicken shops would remain open and people would have to wear masks in premises of shops. The customers should keep distance of 6 feet while purchasing the necessary items, he said that adding that those shops would be sealed if their owners fail to ensure implementation on directions.
Citizens have been appealed to behave like a responsible citizens by staying at their homes. Strict implementation is being ensured on the directions of district administration.
IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar has directed all police officials to ensure strict implementations on the directions of district administration.
Section 144 is being implemented in the city and police is providing awareness to citizens as how to protect themselves against Coronavirus. DIG (Operations) said that implementation on directions is in national interest and every persons should follow it.
