Google and Netflix have helped the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to lower the burden on its telecom network by sharing some steps they have taken. Google has introduced new features and resources which links to the National Institute of Health (NIH) to provide locally relevant information to Pakistani users. Similarly, Netflix has developed ways to reduce Netflix’s traffic on telecommunications networks by 25 percent while also maintaining the quality of service during the Covid-19 pandemic. We really appreciate this step.
