ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Navy is providing humanitarian assistance to distressed families across the country at the face of coronavirus pandemic and distributed food/commodities and Personal Protective Equipment at various cities/towns and hospitals.
According to Pakistan Navy thousands of ration bags carrying food items/supplies were distributed among needy families residing at Ibrahim Haydri area of Karachi. Ration bags have also been distributed in Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, Muzaffargarh and other places.
Pakistan Navy distributed kits of personal protective suits along other necessary equipment to different agencies engaged in provision of relief to the affected and hospitals of Lahore, Faisalabad and Sialkot. It is being done with the collaboration of philanthropist association.
The wide-reaching food relief measures have been taken by Pakistan Navy in remote localities situated at distance from the city centres while thousands of ration bags were distributed in rural areas and goths of coastal and creeks areas including Jiwani, Gawdar, Surbandar, Pasni, Khor Kalmat, Somiani, Bin Qasim, Keti Bandar, Jati and Chuhar Jamali.
Pakistan Navy has also consigned large quantity of ration at Ormara amongst local populace. In addition, Pakistan Navy is also conducting awareness campaigns to help in countering the challenge of ongoing pandemic of coronavirus.
