SUKKUR: Sindh University vice-chancellor Prof Dr Fateh Muhammad Burfat has convened a meeting to discuss and streamline the strategy to come out of the current scenario while eyeing the menace of COVID-19 in the province as well as the country and approved online teaching.
Dr Burfat proceeded with the dramatic move in response to HEC guidelines, faculty of engineering and technology led by its in-charge dean Prof Dr Khalil-ur-Rehman Khumbhati, director internet services Prof Dr Yasir Arafat Malkani, academic heads and administrative heads also attended the meeting. The meeting later decided to prepare course files and materials for online teaching or learning activities, lectures and notes for theory and lab engagements, awarding students assignments and tasks as midterm examinations components, to develop requisite mechanisms, integrating LSM materials and mechanisms with the varsity's e-portal for easy access and readiness for conducting online interviews and viva examinations of MPhil and PhD scholars.
Meanwhile, SU procurement committee met via video conferencing to discuss a development project to construct a building for varsity's faculty of social sciences.
