PHF releases training videos of players
KARACHI: The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has released videos of senior and junior team players training at their homes due to lockdown against the coronavirus pandemic. The national senior and junior teams’ training camps were halted last month and players were asked to train at their homes instead after the spread of COVID-19 in the country.
The videos released by the PHF the other day show players doing effective home-based training. Pakistan’s senior midfielder Umar Bhutta is seen practising dribble and dodging, while Ali Shan performed jumping exercises.
Defender Abu Bakar, midfielder Muhammad Yaqoob and Ammad Shakeel Butt also featured in the videos doing several exercises. The training is being remotely monitored by senior team coach Khawaja Junaid, while Danish Kaleem is overseeing training of junior hockey players.
