Disinfectant spray carried out at public places, hospitals

MULTAN: The Waste Management Company teams Tuesday carried out disinfectant spray at public places, hospitals, offices and important buildings under ‘Germ free Multan’ drive.

The disinfection tunnels were installed at the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner offices and all visitors are bound to pass through tunnels. The disinfection teams washed the Lahore High Court Multan bench courts, bar room, Nishtar Hospital, Multan Circuit House, public and private dispensaries with anti germs chlorinated water. WMC Managing Director Nasir Shahzad Dogar said anti-germs spray was conducted across all commercial markets.

BZU launches online service for sick animals: The Bahauddin Zakariya University Faculty of Veterinary Sciences has launched an online livestock consultation to provide free prescription and counselling about sick animals.

The institution is the first accredited veterinary faculty in south Punjab that has launched the service following the closure of BZU veterinary clinic to avoid social distancing aimed at the COVID-19 threat. Briefing on the new online service electronically, the Department of Veterinary Sciences chairman Prof Dr Tanveer Ahmed Ahmed said south Punjab is a highly populous emerging hub of livestock and poultry sector. The faculty is providing consultation in pathology, biosciences, livestock and poultry production round the clock to farmers. Prof Dr Tanveer Ahmed said the farmers can send their problems through whatsapp or go to the direct communication system for counselling for guidance.
