HYDERABAD: A Sub-Inspector of the Hyderabad Police, Ashfaq Awan, was shot dead in a targeted attack by unknown assailants here on Monday. According to the SSP of Hyderabad, Irfan Baloch, Awan had been on his way home when he was attacked in the Mumtaz Colony area. The Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, taking notice of the murder, directed the Hyderabad Police to submit its report within 24 hours, the SSP said.
