Mardan admin de-seals 29 villages of Manga UC

MARDAN: The district administration here on Monday de-sealed 29 villages of Manga union council after conducting disinfection spray while the lockdown of area that still has coronavirus cases will continue.

In this connection, a function was held near Manga checkpost on Mardan-Charssada Road. Additional Deputy Commissioner Naik Mohammad, Manga quarantine in-charge Hazrat Ali, Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA), Water and Sanitation Services Company Mardan and Rescue 1122 officials, staff were present.

Later, the staff and vehicles started disinfection spray in the de-sealed villages. Talking to the media, Hazrat Ali said that the Manga union council includes 49 villages.

He added the district administration had de-sealed 29 villages of the union council after conducting disinfection spray. The official said the de-sealing process of the union council will continue in phases. He added that in first phase, district administration de-sealed 29 villages and 230 tests of coronavirus were conducted at Manga, of which 67 came positive and 150 proved negative.

The official added that currently 17 people of the Manga village were in quarantine while 20 people were shifted to houses. On Sunday, Mardan Deputy Commissioner Abid Wazir issued a notification about de-sealing parts of the union council. Talking to the media, a villager said that there was no positive result of any person in these villages but still the district administration had sealed the villages.

He added that if the district administration sealed the Muslimabad village in Manga which was affected by the coronavirus, it will better for other villages located in the Manga village.
