GUJRANWALA: PTI Kamoke vice president Zahid Afzal Basra, cousin of Punjab government’s spokesman Usman Saeed Basra, along with dozens of companions allegedly attacked a police party and got an alleged drug pusher released from the police custody.
Reportedly, Wahndo police conducted a raid at Kali Suba village and arrested alleged drug pusher Zafarullah Basra.
In the meantime, the accused PTI leader along with others allegedly attacked the police party and got the drug dealer released from the police custody. The accused allegedly not only tortured the police personnel but also destroyed the CCTV cameras installed near the location. Wahndo police have registered a case against the accused persons. When contacted, Usman Saeed Basra said that he had many relatives but he did not support any drug pusher.
9,500 CHALLAN TICKETS ISSUED: The traffic police have issued 9,500 challan tickets to different persons on the charge of violating the Section 144 here during the last 10 days. Chief Traffic Officer Asif Siddiq told that the traffic police had also seized 5,000 motorcycles and rickshaws and got registered cases against 90 accused during the period for violation of the lockdown.
The CTO appealed to the citizens to follow the instructions of the government regarding the coronavirus threat.
