70,000 get confirmation messages from Ehsaas Programme: minister
FAISALABAD: Punjab Minister for Public Prosecution Ch Zaheeruddin has said that 276 pilgrims came from Taftan have been quarantined at the quarantine centres at PARS and GCU New Campus.
The minister was briefing the media on the situation of coronavirus in the district at the Commissioner Office on Sunday. He informed that coronavirus had been found in five visitors while the reports of 152 received negatives and 125 pilgrims’ reports were not received yet. He informed that 24 people had been quarantined in their houses and the visitors whose reports were received negative would also complete their quarantine time of 14 days as per SOPs.
He informed that the samples of 72 suspects were taken one time in Faisalabad while the samples were taken two times of 12 suspects and the samples of two persons were taken thrice He told that out of them, the test report of 67 suspects were received negative while the reports of remaining five were awaiting.
The provincial minister thanked the media for its positive and lively role in the crisis situation of coronavirus and said that the joint efforts of the district administration, police, doctors, journalists and armed forces would won the fight against the coronavirus. He said that we had to be more careful than ever in terms of precautionary measures. The pace of testing process had been accelerated, he said. The provincial minister said that 70,000 people have received confirmation messages from the Ehsaas Program across the province and the package announced to the subscribers would be distributed with complete honesty. To a question, he said that all the people who had been quarantined were our brothers and we could not leave them alone in the situation. He appealed to the citizens to follow the precautions and remain present in their homes so that they could be protected from coronavirus. Commissioner Ishrat Ali, Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali, Health CEO Dr Mushtaq Sipra, DHO Dr Bilal Ahmad and other officers were also present.
