10 outlaws held
Islamabad: The Islamabad police held 10 outlaws including two members of gang from various areas of the city and recovered snatched mobile phone, motorbike, kites and weapons from them, the police spokesman said. He said that Islamabad police have enhanced vigilance in the city following directions of IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar khan and DIG (Operations) Waqar Uddin Syed.
Following these directions SP (Saddar) Omer Khan constituted police team under supervision of SDPO Shalimar Rana Abdul Wahab including SHO Ramna Police Station Sub-Inspector Rasheed Ahmed, ASI Ameer Ali. This team ensured high vigilance in the area and succeeded to nab two persons involved in various robberies. They have been identified as Zahoor Rehman, resident of Dhoke Kashmirain and Usman s resident of Mara Badia Islamabad.
Police team recovered eight snatched mobile phones, motorbike from their possession. During the preliminary investigation, they confessed their involvement in various incidents of snatching cash and mobile phones. A case has been registered against them in Ramna Police Station and further investigation is underway.
Further –more owing these efforts, Tarnol Police arrested accused Abdul Nasir and recovered kites and other material from him.
Bhara Kahu Police apprehended two accused, Sabbir Hussain and Shshzaib and recovered 30 bore pistol and one dagger from their possession.
Bani Gala Police arrested accused Faisal and recovered one 30 bore pistol from him. Sabzi Mandi police arrested two accused, Muhammad Bashir and Muhammad Younas and recovered one 30 bore pistol and one dagger from their possession.
Noon Police arrested accused Qasim and recovered cash from him.
Sihala Police arrested accused Adnan Wakeel and recovered one 30 bore pistol from him. Cases against all arrested accused have been registered and further investigation is underway from them. Further- more police also arrested 06 proclaimed offender from various areas of the city.
DIG (Operations) Islamabad Waqar Uddin Syed has said that these social evils would be curbed and those backing those drug peddlers and professional beggars would be dealt with iron hand. He further emphasized that this campaign would continue till elimination of anti-social elements.
