PM lauded for giving package for construction sector

SARGODHA: Prime Minister Imran Khan has given a historical package for the construction sector and it will be a milestone in promoting business activities in the country.

These views were expressed by Punjab Minister for Labour and Human Resources Ansar Majeed Niazi while talking to journalists on Saturday.

He said that presenting such relief package in the current economic situation was a proof that the Prime Minister had capability of taking all kinds of measures for the development and stability of the country. Ansar Majeed added that due to coronavirus, economic activities around the world had been halted and it had impact on Pakistan economy as well. He said that getting the industry status of the construction department would promote this business and also more businessmen would invest in this sector. Commenting on the deadly pandemic, he said that the government had taken all the necessary measures to combat with Covid-19.

barriers to be removed: Commissioner Dr Farah Masood has directed to the deputy commissioners of the division that barriers should be removed in the way of transportation goods and in their movement to provide the supply of basic eatable items to the public. She expressed these views while chairing a meeting with administration of four districts of the division, traders and local politicians.

In the meeting ADC Shahbaz Naqvi, DCs of four districts, MNA Dr Afzaal Dhandla, Tariq Yaqoob, SCCI president Mazhar Malik and traders union of all four districts were also present. The commissioner said that strict action would be taken against the assistant commissioners for not controlling the public gathering at public places, banks and in shopping markets and any kind of negligence would not be tolerated in this regard. She stressed upon the traders that in this hard time they should limited the profit ratio so that it could be helpful in reducing the problems of common man.

The commissioner directed the administration to ensure sufficient availability of flour and others food items; adding that immediate steps to be taken for increasing the quota of flour also.

She said that scheduling of tyre shops and transport workshops and the availability of these facilities should be ensured.

The commissioner also directed the food department to be improved the quality of flour delivery. In a meeting with traders, public representative and district administration officers were presented their suggestions also.
