PPP Senator asks govt to take solid steps in corona situation
PESHAWAR: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) senator Bahramand Khan Tangi has asked the government to take solid steps to pull the nation out of the coronavirus crisis.
Talking to reporters on Friday, he said the federal government failed to overcome the crisis and take steps for the protection of citizens. He alleged that Prime Minister Imran Khan was utilising coronavirus fund for his party’s publicity and could not take any steps in right direction. He said that people would not have faced the prevailing situation if proper steps had been taken in the initial stage.
The PPP senator accused Imran Khan of dividing the nation through his speeches even on such sensitive issues, which has engulfed the entire world. He said that by establishing a tiger force in the prevailing situation, the prime minister has proved that the government was not interested in taking opposition into confidence to control the epidemic.
He said his party did not want to criticise the rulers in sensitive situation of coronavirus but added that the government itself was acting irresponsibly and drawing criticism. He extended his party’s support to the government on the crisis confronting the nation. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is worried about the coronavirus emergency, this is why he is talking about unity in this difficult time,” he said.
