DSNG van targeted in Karachi
CM, Pervaiz condemn

KARACHI: A Digital Satellite News Gathering (DSNG) of a private news channel Sama TV was targeted once again in Karachi Sunday.
Unidentified armed motorcyclists opened fire on a van in Liaquatabad number 10, no causality happened and after that the assailants fled the scene. Bureau Chief Aslam Khan said the van was their main target but fortunately workers remained unhurt and such terrorists would never succeed in their heinous crimes. Office bearers of Karachi Union of Journalists condemned the attack and expressed their long standing solidarity with the journalist community.
Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has also condemned the firing on the DSNG van. The chief minister said attacks on the vehicles of media in Karachi are highly deplorable. Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid has condemned firing on van. In a statement issued here Sunday, he said the government believes in freedom of expression and would never tolerate such attacks. He said the government is doing its best to create a congenial environment where media could perform obligations freely.
