FAISALABAD: Water and Sanitation Agency (Wasa) Saturday launched an awareness campaign against coronavirus pandemic. In a statement, Wasa Vice Chairman Sheikh Shahid Javaid said the entire Wasa staff was available for redressal of people’s grievances regarding water supply and sewerage system. He said young workers of the agency were active in the field, whereas, aged employees who were above 50 years were available on mobile phone, WhatsApp, etc. The employees are not only redressing public complaints but also creating awareness among people as how to adopt precautionary measures against the virus, he added.
Power shutdown: The Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (Fesco) has issued shutdown programme for Sunday (today) for necessary repair, maintenance and expansion of electricity lines.According to the schedule, power supply from DHQ, Shadman, Nishat Mill-1, Fesco Colony, Civil Lines, Tariq Abad, Haq Baho, Sant Singh Road, Islamia Park and Cardiology-1 feeders emanating from 132-KV Old Thermal grid station will remain suspended from 9am to 3pm on Sunday (March 29, 2020).
