Awan showers praise on China for support to Pakistan
ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to PM on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said standing by one another in difficult times is a glorious tradition of the 'iron brothers'.
“We thank our great friend China for sending medical facilities, equipment and doctors to deal with the challenge of coronavirus, COVID-19,” she said in a series of tweets while commenting on Beijing’s steadfast support and cooperation to Islamabad.
She maintained that Pakistan would fully benefit from the knowledge, experience and expertise of the Chinese doctors regarding the fight against coronavirus pandemic.
Dr Firdous acknowledged the discipline with which China overcame the pandemic as it was an example for the rest of the world.
She added standing by each other in every difficult time was a glorious tradition of iron brothers and that the peoples of the two countries had pride in this sincere friendship.
She pointed out whether it was cooperation for Pakistan's economic progress or support to our principled stance on Kashmir issue, China always came up to the expectations of Pakistan and its people.
