Coronavirus prevention measures: Bilawal chairs meeting in Larkana through video conferencing

SUKKUR: Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Friday chaired a meeting through video conferencing about the prevailing coronavirus outbreak threat and taking prevention measures.

Report said mayor Larkana, PPP MNA Faryal Talpur and others briefed the PPP chairman regarding the prevailing coronavirus threats and measures taken to prevent the possible outbreak.

Mayor Larkana informed that some 88 pilgrims were kept in the quarantine centre and among them seven pilgrims were tested coronavirus positive.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in his video link address directed all elected-public representatives to speed up their activities and look after the families of the coronavirus suspects and positive patients being isolated in quarantine centre as well as the families of the daily wagers.

He ordered not to take any selfie during distribution of ration among the needy people. Bilawal also received details about the conflicts between the chairman and vice-chairman of UC-15 Larkana and directed the mayor to resolve the issue between them.

He directed the authorities to keep all the pilgrims coming from Iran and Iraq into the quarantine centre and to avoid negligence. The PPP chairman also directed them to ensure all the basic facilities in the quarantine centre to avoid any misadventure. He said he has decided to monitor each district of the province by video link to ensure implementation of lockdown announced by the government.
