ISLAMABAD: In the wake of coronavirus, the Supreme Court (SC) has adjourned the hearing into the identical petitions, challenging the presidential reference filed against Justice Qazi Faez Isa accusing him of concealing his properties in United Kingdom allegedly held in the name of his spouse and children.

The apex court on Thursday issued a notice to all parties concerned intimating them that due to coronavirus, the hearing into the instant matter, which was scheduled to commence on March 30 has been adjourned.

On February 24, a ten-member full court headed by Justice Umar Ata Bandial had adjourned the hearing into the matter until March 30. The court had adjourned the matter after newly appointed Attorney General for Pakistan Khalid Javed had excused from representing the federal government in the presidential reference filed against Justice Qazi Faez Isa as he said that he had already given his opinion in the said matter therefore, he cannot pursue it on behalf of federation.
