LAHORE: To make the lockdown successful, the City Traffic Police Lahore have set up 14 pickets on the entry and exit point of the City to bring under control the unnecessary vehicular movement.
Five DSPs have been appointed to supervise 18 inspectors and 54 traffic wardens. The divisional officers have been appointed as supervisory officers of the arrangements as part of the lockdown. Traffic police set up pickets on Old Ravi Bridge, New Ravi Bridge, Mehmood Booti Road Sialkot Interchange, Saggiyan Bridge, Ravi Bridge, Babu Sabu, Thokkar Niaz Baig, LOS Check Point, Jinnah Terminal, Mohafiz Town, Bhoobtiyan, Shahkam Chowk, Pace Society near Qazzal Bash Chowk, Peco Road Flyover and Gajju Matta. Chief Traffic Officer Syed Hammad Abid said that citizens’ unnecessary movement was controlled by barricading routes. He said the Citizens must follow government’s directives to avoid inconvenience.
The CTO said “The people should play their role together with us in this drive against coronavirus and make the campaign ‘stay home, stay safe’ successful.”
