PESHAWAR: While the government is making efforts to ensure people stay home, the Peshawar Electricity Supply Company continues the power breakdowns forcing them not to remain indoors.
Several villages on the Kohat Road are facing six hours daily power breakdown. Several villages have been facing power breakdown from 9 am till 3 pm on alternate days for the last several months. Some villages and neighbourhoods are facing from one to two-hour power breakdown daily but those on the Kohat Road and some other areas are facing it for hours. "We are facing daily loadshedding or load management at 10 am, 2 pm, 6 pm, 9 pm, 2 am and 5 am. Besides, for several days every week, the power remains suspended from 9 am till 3 while the daily breakdown also continues. It is happening when there is no use of airconditioners, fans or heaters," complained a resident of Garhi Qamardin.
He added the daily uninterrupted supply of power can help implement the government's order of staying home to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
