Logistic support, equipment demanded to fight coronavirus in Mardan
MARDAN: President of Young Doctors Association (YDA), Mardan chapter, Dr Ziaur Rehman said on Wednesday that the numbers of coronavirus positive cases in the district have increased to 45 and hence logistic support and other equipment were required to fight the disease.
Dr Ziaur Rehman said this in a video message uploaded on social media. He added that 300 suspected cases are also being tested in Mardan.
He added that it would be difficult to control it if the outbreak continued at such speed in the district.
The doctor added that logistic support and personal protective and other equipment aren’t enough. He added that only doctors, paramedics and other Health staff cannot fight this battle alone. He added that the equipment was also required. “We need beds, ventilators and protective kits in large numbers,” he said. He appealed to the government institutions, political figures, social workers and philanthropists of Mardan to support the medical community and provide them protective kits on an urgent basis to control the situation.
