RAWALPINDI: Eleven persons reportedly arrested for violating preventive measures as announced by Punjab government to keep control on Coronavirus pandemic.
Punjab government has issued directives to ban public gatherings and closure of shops, restaurant and markets strictly after 10 pm in the city. SP Potohar Syed Ali while briefing CPO Rawalpindi Muhammad Ahsan Younis stated that five persons including Inamullah, Nasir, Abdul Majeed, Syed Mayer and Ikramullah were arrested for violation of opening of restaurant, cafe and hotels after 10pm in the night.
While Wah Cantt Police arrested three citizens for holding weddings ceremonies in open and making violation of government directives in this regard. SP Potohar Syed Ali stated that Rawalpindi Police would employ all available resources to ensure implementation on government directives to control public gatherings in connection of Coronavirus pandemic.
Meanwhile, SP Rawal Syed Mazhar Iqbal stated that Rawalpindi police while making crackdown against unlawful possession of arms arrest three persons and also recovered pistols from their possession.
Meanwhile SP Sadar Division Ziadudin Ahmed while making crackdown against kite flying in the city held three citizens including Usman, Faheem and Haris and also recovered 50 kites and chemical kite string from their possession.
While in crackdown against drug pushers, two drug dealers were arrested in the limits of Rawat Police station. SHO Rawat along with his team arrested two culprits and recovered 1.6kg Charas from their custody.
Meanwhile SHO Ratta Amral while making raid along with his team against drug pushers arrest a drug dealer named Dilbar Khan and also recovered 1.25kg Charas from him.
Meanwhile Rawalpindi police making crackdown in different areas of the city arrest seven culprits and also recovered 26 liter liquor. New Town Police recovered Six liter liquor from Waheed Hussein, Rawat Police recovered five liter from Umar Nisar, Westridge Police recovered one pistol and bullets from Kashif Khan, Sadar Beruini Police station arrested culprit Munir.
