Quack booked as wrong injection claims girl’s life
TOBA TEK SINGH: Gojra Sadar police on Sunday booked a quack for allegedly injecting wrong injection to a 10-year-old girl which caused her death on Saturday night.
The case is registered against Dr Muhammad Ashraf and his companions Mahboob, Faisal, Adil and Shan under sections 322,324,148 and 149 of Pakistan Penal Code on the complaint of Muhammad Sarwar of Chak 358/JB.
The FIR said that the girl was brought to the clinic of accused Dr Muhammad Ashraf who allegedly injected wrong injection to the girl which caused her death. Later, relatives of the girl staged a demonstration against the accused doctor and his four companions. The police are conducting raids to arrest the accused persons.
Woman killed, son hurt in accident: A woman was killed while her son sustained injuries in an accident at Gojra on Friday night. Reportedly, Michel Masih and his mother Parveen of Chak 333/JB were on their way when their bike collided to a rickshaw and they both fell on the road. Later, a trailer coming from behind hit them, killing the woman on the spot while her son sustained injuries.
Meanwhile, a van and a mini truck collided near Wahgi Canal Bridge on Kamalia-Jakhar Road. As a result, nine passengers were injured. They included Shahnaz Bibi, Zakir Hussain, Zawar Hussain, Haq Nawaz and Sharif Elahi.
