FAISALABAD: Under the Prime Minister's Sustainable Development Programme, the Faisalabad Development Authority will undertake 10 development schemes of improvement and construction of roads and streets in different localities of the city to be completed at a cost of Rs 85.234 million.
This was informed during a meeting held here under the chairmanship of FDA Director General Muhammad Sohail Khawaja in which the pace of implementation of development programme was reviewed. FDA Additional Director General Amir Aziz, Chief Engineer Shahid Mehmood, Deputy Director Engineering Hassan Zaheer, Deputy Director Admin Yasir Ijaz Chattha and other officers were present in the meeting.
The meeting was informed that funds of Rs 17.89 million would be spent on the implementation of carpet road of Peoples Colony while funds of Rs 14.77m had been earmarked for the construction of road of Yasrib Colony. Moreover, the road of Shahzad Colony, Kareem Town and Alfayaz Colony would be completed at a cost of Rs13.60 million while the funds of Rs 11.99 million and Rs 11.81m had been specified for the construction of roads at Chaman Zar Colony and Dastgeerpura respectively. The meeting was also informed that Rs 7.73 million would be spent on the carpet of roads at Mohallah Kalasan, the carpet road of Naimat Town would be improved at a cost of Rs 3.889 million and streets of Younis Town, Nasir Nagar and the drain and streets of Risala No 15 would be constructed with Rs 3.6m funds Reviewing the details of the development schemes, the FDA DG directed for keep complete transparency in the entire process of tendering and other departmental procedures while implementing the schemes.
