Paying rich tributes to healthcare professionals, including doctors and paramedics, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s centra Vice President and parliamentary party leader in Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh on Sunday said they are our frontline soldiers in the battle against coronavirus and the whole nation is thankful to them.
Shaikh, in a statement here Sunday, said our brave doctors, nurses, and paramedics are discharging their duties bravely, putting their own lives at risk. He said this is a pandemic and no government can overcome it without active help and cooperation of the whole nation. “We have to show our unity as a nation to fight this challenge. He said this is not a time for political point-scoring,” he said.
The PTI leader said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has been working hard and taking practical steps to meet this challenge. “As an opposition party in Sindh, the PTI will support the Sindh government in its every step to check the onslaught of this virus in the province,” he said,
He also said the federal government is also fully backing and supporting Sindh. He said Prime Minister Imran Khan is the Prime Minister of the whole country and nation. He said that PTI workers and leaders are with the masses and they are playing their role in raising awareness against this disease.
“We will not indulge in any politics at this trying and testing time, in fact, we have kept our politics in quarantine.”
He said the federal and provincial governments are taking steps to assist daily-wagers and is utilizing $40million funds of the World Bank to face this challenge. He said well-to-do people and philanthropists should also come forward for this noble cause of helping working-class people and daily wagers.
He appealed the masses to restrict themselves to their homes and take full precautionary steps. He said the people of China had also given sacrifices and restricted them to their homes to overcome this challenge.
He said the federal government is issuing funds to provinces without any discrimination. He said we will have to take even strict actions and people may have to face some difficulties. He said we have to face the situation bravely. “We also pray Allah, the Almighty, to save the nation and country from this disease.”
