SUKKUR: The Dadu Police have arrested the son of a former Nazim Dadu and others for keeping two dancers hostage at their guest house.
Arbab, the driver of the hostage dancers, had registered a complaint at the A-Section Police Station of Dadu, maintaining that Zaffar Khan Lund, Ameer Ali Lund and Asghar Khan Awan had kept three dancers hostage in the Autaq of Karimdad Lund. On the complaint, the police raided the said Autaq and rescued two dancers from the abductors.
The police also recovered a pistol from their possession and registered an FIR against them. The dancers told the police that they belonged to the Latifabad Colony of Shaheed Benazirabad, and had came there to perform at the invitation of Ameer Ali Lund, s/o former Nazim Naban Khan Lund. They told the police that when they reached at the given address they found no function was being held there but were kept hostage when they tried to return. The police produced the criminals in the court and pleaded for 14-day physical remand, which was granted by the court.
