Business community urged to cooperate with management to control prices

Islamabad : Former vice president and Executive Member of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari, former senior vice president Khalid Mehmood Chaudhry and Administration Committee convener Raja Abdul Majeed Met with the Deputy Commissioner ICT Hamza Shafqat at his office on Wednesday. They discussed about the regular supply of anti-coronavirus products like face mask and anti-viral sanitisers.

Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Hamza Shafqaat, while expressing his views on the occasion said that the government has taken some steps to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. We are spreading awareness among people to stay home as much as possible and schools, colleges have been already closed in this regard. He pointed out the non-availability of face mask and antiviral sanitiser.

Executive Member of the ICCI, Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari expressed his views and said that all medical stores in Islamabad are cooperating with the district administration. The masks are available and we are providing three masks per person in our stores so that everyone would get the mask. He said that in the last two weeks, about 150,000 masks have been distributed. He proposed to establish a mask factory for a twin city on emergency. He proposed the district administration to convene a meeting of pharmaceutical company in the twin cities with the request to produce antiviral sensitiser on emergency bases. He further added that the situation, which is emerging in the future it would not be possible to maintain the supply of sensitiser and face mask with the increasing demand.
