Work on Matiari-Lahore transmission line in full swing
LAHORE:The construction work on ±660 kV High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) Matiari-Lahore transmission line under the CPEC is in full swing and overall 86pc work has been completed.
Major milestones like completion of 95pc tower foundations and 40pc of towers erection have already been achieved, besides the conductor stringing activity has been inaugurated by NTDC Deputy Managing Director Wajahat Saeed Rana at Hasilpur, Punjab. uplift schemes: The Punjab government Tuesday approved four development schemes of different sectors at an estimated cost of Rs2.099 billion. These schemes were approved in the 40th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) chaired by Planning and Development (P&D) Board chairman Hamed Yaqoob Sheikh.
The approved development schemes included project preparation funding facility at the cost of Rs500 million, establishment of 60-bed hospital at Jaurrian Chakri Road, Rawalpindi at the cost of Rs499.741 million, establishment of institute of urology and transplantation, Rawalpindi at the cost of Rs599.531 million, rural drainage scheme in UC Waan Adhan, UC Akbar Abad, UC Balloki, UC Sarai Noshera, UC Beharwal, UC Chak No 37, UC Naroki, UC Halla, UC Padhana, UC Bath Kalan, UC Megha, UC, Alpa Kalasn, UC Hanjarwal, UC Taragarh, UC Bhonikey, UC Jumbar Kalan, UC Jumbar Khurd and UC No 39 Kasur at the cost of Rs500 million.
