Surprisingly good job

This is to acknowledge that whereas we generally talk about red tape, inefficiency and graft in government departments some still work with honesty of purpose. The Passport and Immigration Department was one such organisation that won the hearts of the general public by their efficient service.
I visited the Excise and Taxation Office, Rawalpindi, recently in connection with the registration of a new car. It was a pleasant surprise to experience that the whole process – registration of the new car and delivery of number plates – was completed within two hours.
