Momentary outrage

The hype created in the media about the Nandipur Power Project will soon die down. Something new will emerge or will be brought up to divert people’s attention away from the issue. After spending a few more billions, the project will be made to start producing electricity and the whole steam about holding accountability will evaporate with no one taking notice.
We have a history of such mega corruption scandals that have been forgotten and forgiven. The people of this country are very forgiving or have very short memories.
