KU awards 16 PhD, 38 MPhil, 14 MS degrees
The Karachi University on Wednesday awarded 16 PhD, 38 MPhil and 14 Master degrees in various disciplines.
According to the KU Registrar Professor Dr Saleem Shahzad, KU acting vice chancellor Professor Dr Khalid Mahmood Iraqi awarded these degrees in a meeting of the Advanced Studies and Research Board.
According to a press release, Saima Naz earned PhD degree in Chemistry, Touqeer Fatima in General History, Areej Khan and Nooreen Begum in Clinical Psychology, Tamkeen Fatima in Molecular Medicine, Aisha Khalid and Muhammad Salman in Chemistry from HEJ, M Irfan Nazir in Usool-ud-din, Bulbul Jan in Space Science And Planetary Astrophysics, Khaleel Ullah in Islamic Learning, Abdur Rahman in Quran and Sunnah, Noor Fatima in Botany, Rabia Hanif in Psychology, Adnan Akhter Faridi in Public Administration, Sundus Iftikhar in Statistics,and and Muhammad Farooq completed his PhD research in Pharmaceutics.
Likewise, Ayesha Ansari, Faizan Nawab, Seher Mustafa and Salman Khurshid completed MPhil researches in Chemistry, Maha Mobin, Shumaila Khalid, Mariam Ashfaq Khan, Anum Anwar, Waqar Khalil, Raheel Saeed and Hareem Siraj in Molecular Medicine, Ansia Zafar in Geography, Maham Ghouri, Bilal Saleh, Faiza Usmani and Shazia Kiran in Biotechnology, Maqsood Alam in Space Science And Planetary Astrophysics, Faizan Qadir in Microbiology, Saba Zehra in Geography, Asima Abbas in Urdu, Humaira Israr in Islamic History, Maria Rahim, Rafia Shafi, Shaheen Hameed and Muhammad Sharif in Statistics, Tahira Fatima in Psychology, Nadil Shah in Sociology, Imrana Bano in Applied Economics, Shumayla Ayub and Uzma in Marine Biology, Saif Ullah Shaikh in Physiology, Shahida Bashir and Dr Farhina Aijaz in Microbiology, Tasmina Kanwal, Shahjabeen and Sarah Shafi in Chemistry from HEJ, Rubeena Kousar in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, and Chand Gul in Agriculture.
KU Registrar Professor Dr Saleem Shahzad said the MS course work degrees of 30 credit hours were awarded to Imdad Hussain in Public Administration while Omer M Zubari, Muhammad Ibrahim, Abdul Salam Khan Orakzai, Aetisam Ahmed Khan Lodhi, Amir Anwar, Imran Ahmed Siddiqi, Waqas Ahmed Ansari, Hafiz Muhammad Ahmed Khan, Syed Adnan Hassan Abdi, Abid Ali and Adnan Akbar Ansari competed their MS degrees in Islamic Banking.
He said Dr Syed Muhammad Ali and Dr Syed Azhar Matloob received Master of Surgery in Oral and Maxiallofaical Surgery.
