PESHAWAR: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Tuesday arrested an official of the National Data and Registration Authority (Nadra) for issuing computerised national identity cards to non-locals, officials said. An official said that a team of the FIA arrested Fakhar Alam, who was accused of issuing NIC to non-locals as in-charge of a unit. More people are being probed for issuing thousands of fake NICs to non-Pakistanis during the last several years. Meanwhile, another team of the FIA raided the currency market in Chowk Yadgar and arrested four persons for illegal transaction of money through hundi.
