KARACHI: Karachi Blues defeated Hyderabad by four wickets in their match of the Super Sixes stage of the Inter-Region Under-19 cricket tournament at Jinnah Stadium in Sialkot on Monday.
Hyderabad were bowled out for 152 in 41.1 overs. Kamran Rehmani (41), Uzair Jafri (33) and Asad Malik (21) offered some resistance with the bat.
Asher Qureshi picked 5-47, while Hassan Khan captured 2-50. Karachi Blues achieved the target in 38 overs after losing six wickets. SM Tahmi struck fine 51 off 79 balls, smacking four fours and a six. Azam Khan belted 33, while Zeeshan Haider made 27.
Ibtisam Shaikh was the pick of the bowlers with 4-35.
At Jinnah Stadium Gujranwala, Lahore Whites upstaged Karachi Whites by six wickets. Karachi Whites were bowled out for 214 in 48.3 overs.
Ashir Ahmed hit 33. Mohammad Asad (25), Fhadis Bukhari (23) and Imran Shah (24) were the other main contributors. Ghulam Murtaza claimed 3-47, while Ali Zaryab picked 2-43.
Lahore achieved the target with four balls to spare after losing six wickets.
