BAHAWALPUR: A three-day anti-polio campaign was launched in Bahawalnagar district on Monday. Bahawalnagar DCO Syed Haidar Iqbal inaugurated the campaign by administering polio drops to a child at the office of EDO Health Ch Sagheer Ahmad. The EDO Health told The News that during the campaign 465,000 children under five years of age would be given polio vaccine in the district. For this purpose, he added, 1,083 teams had been constituted to make this special campaign a success. Meanwhile, anti-polio campaign was also launched in Bahawalpur district. According to Bahawalpur DHO Dr Saeed Asghar, 587,000 children would be administered polio vaccine through 1,030 mobile teams and 147 stationary teams.
