HARIPUR: The jail authorities have received death warrant for the execution of a convict who had been sentenced to death by a court on murder charges.
Officials at the Haripur Central Prison confirmed the receipt of death warrant for Shabbir, resident of Rawalpindi, who has been languishing in the jail for the last more than 20 years.
Shabbir, resident of Rawalpindi, was accused of murdering a teenage boy in Rawalpindi. Jail authorities are also trying to arrange his final meeting with the family members.
