An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Saturday issued non-bailable warrants for the arrest of five men in a case registered against Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Amir Khan for alleged facilitation of terrorists.
The non-bailable warrants were issued for five co-accused, Imran Raees alia Mamma, Imran Ejaz Niazi, Naim alias Mullah, Minhaj Qazi and Shehzad Mullah.
Earlier, the Investigation Officer (IO) had told the court that the names of five co-accused were not included in the interim charge sheet. The court directed the IO to include their names in the interim charge sheet and issued non-bailable warrants for their arrest before adjourning the hearing for October 10.
The MQM leader Amir Khan is on bail on charges of instigation terrorism and providing shelter to terrorists.
The ATC-II had granted bail to Khan against a sum of Rs1 million and had asked him to remain in the country to appear before the court when it summoned.
