DERA ISMAIL KHAN: A man shot dead his daughter and wounded his former wife and her husband in Gamal Kalan in the limits of the Saddar Police Station early Friday, official sources said. The sources said one Sher Afzal along with Safdar Khan and Raham forced his entry into the house of Said Rasool at 1:45am and opened fire on the family members. As a result, his former wife Saeeda Bibi and her husband Said Rasool sustained injuries while 11-year old Zubaida was killed on the spot. The dead and injured were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital in Dera Ismail Khan. The motive behind the incident was that Saeeda Bibi had taken divorce from the accused, Sher Afzal, through a local court and contracted marriage with Said Rasool two years ago. She had also taken away her daughter, Zubaida, along with her after marriage and this had angered Sher Afzal. The police registered the case and started investigation.
