KARACHI: Ammad Fareed failed to qualify for the main round of the $10,000 Men’s Champion Fiberglass Open at The Downtown Club, Houston, Texas, USA, on Thursday.
Anthony Graham of England defeated him 8-11, 11-7, 11-8, 11-7 in the qualifying finals.
Earlier, he had beaten Charlie Johnson of England 11-3, 11-4, 6-11, 11-8 in the first qualifying round.
Jahanzeb Khan lost in the first qualifying round as he was defeated by Anthony Graham of England 6-11, 3-11, 8-11.
Farhan Zaman is seeded seventh and Danish Atlas Khan is fourth in this event. They will play against unseeded Arthur Gaskin of Ireland and qualifier Cameron Stafford of Cayman Islands, respectively.
Shahid Hussain has got wildcard and he is to face eighth seed Eric Galvez of Mexico in the main round.
