FAISALABAD: Three condemned prisoners would be hanged in the Central Jail on September 10 and 11.
Khalid of Chak 338/GB, Samundri, killed a villager over enmity about 16 years ago and was awarded death sentence by District and Sessions Judge Abid Hussain Qureshi. He would be executed on September 10.
Ikhlaq Ahmad and Shaukat Ali gunned down Muhammad Tariq and Zafar Ahmad about 14 years ago. Both were awarded death sentence by the Anti-Terrorism Court special judge.
MURDER CASE HEARING: Anti-Terrorism Court Special Judge Raja Pervaiz Akhtar fixed September 15 for hearing of the Haq Nawaz murder case.
On Wednesday, eighteen accused, out of total fifty seven, deposited sureties of Rs 200,000 each in the court. According to a petition, Haq Nawaz was shot dead during the procession of a political party at the Novelty Bridge. The plaintiff had nominated a number of political workers in the case.
ACCUSED GOT REALSEDE FROM POLICE: An accused in a murder and dacoity case was got released from Sahianwala police custody by his accomplices on Tuesday night.
Muhammad Suleman was got released by his armed companions when the police was taking him for the recovery of arms. After the incident, the police blocked all roads, but failed to nab the criminals.
