QUETTA: Security forces foiled a major terrorist bid, arrested three suspects and recovered 3,800 kilograms of explosive material from their possession near the Pak-Afghan border area of Killa Abdullah on Wednesday. A spokesman for the security forces said that acting on a tipoff, the security forces personnel carried out a search operation near the Pak-Afghan border and arrested three suspects. They recovered 3,800 kilograms of explosive material, 10 mortar shells and hundreds of submachine gun rounds from the possession of the suspects. The security forces also seized two vehicles. The spokesman said that the suspected terrorists, who had entered into the country from Afghanistan, were trying to go to Quetta and other areas of the country for terrorist activities. Further investigation was under way.
