AKU football tourney enters quarter-final stage

KARACHI: Pakistan Navy Engineering College (PNEC) will take on Ziaudin University (ZU) when quarterfinals of 13th AKU Inter-University football tournament begin here at AKU Sports Centre Football Ground.
Institute of Business Administration (IBA) will play against Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS); Institute of Business Management (IoBM) will play against Hamdard University (HU); Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology (SSUET) will play against hosts Aga Khan University (AKU).
In last four league matches of the tournament, DUHS defeated LCMD by 1-0. PNEC bulldozed Institute of Business and Technology (IBT) by 14-1. Abdullah Shams fired eight goals in the match.
IBA overpowered Hamdard University by 3-1. In the last match, SSUET thrashed Ziauddin University by 3-0.
