MINGORA: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested an alleged militant involved in killing of two cops in Swat district on Tuesday, official sources said.
The sources said that acting on a tip-off, the CTD officials arrested a militant identified as Saleem Ahmad, belonging to Kabal tehsil, who was involved in a suicide attack and killing of two security personnel in Tootano Bandai in 2008. “After carrying out terror activities, he managed to escape to a Gulf State to avoid his arrest but he was arrested as he returned home from abroad,” an official added.
