KHAR: Pakistan’s Frontier Corps personnel provided assistance to three Afghan soldiers who sustained injuries when militants attacked their security post at the Ghakhi Pass close to the Pak-Afghan border on Tuesday, sources said.
The sources said that the three soldiers of the Afghan National Army, whose identity could not be ascertained, sustained injuries when a group of militants attacked the security post at the Ghakhi Pass connecting Afghanistan and Pakistan across the mountain range.
Responding to the appeal by the Afghan army officials, the personnel of the Frontier Corps (FC) shifted the injured Afghan soldiers to their camp for providing them medical treatment on humanitarian ground.
The Pakistani border guards had earlier in the recent past also provided medical assistance to wounded Afghan soldiers. One soldier was admitted and treated at the Agency Headquarters Hospital in Khar, the main town in Bajaur Agency.
