GHALLANAI: Two personnel of the Frontier Corps (FC) and a local driver were killed and three others sustained injuries in a road accident in Khwezai tehsil in Mohmand Agency on Tuesday, official sources said.
The sources said that a vehicle was carrying food items for the soldiers stationed in the FC Camp in Bhaidag from Ghallanai, Agency Headquarters, when it met an accident near Khanch village in Khwezai tehsil.
Two soldiers identified as Sepoys Sabit Gul, Marjan Khan and driver Gul Taj were killed on the spot while Naib Subedar Saleem Khan, Sepoys Gulnawaz and Naeem Khan sustained injuries. The injured were shifted to the Combined Military Hospital or CMH in Peshawar. The bodies of the dead soldiers were taken to their hometowns.
