One killed, three injured in Kohistan road mishap

MANSEHRA: A man was killed and three others sustained injuries when a motorcar plunged into a ravine in Dubair area of Lower Kohistan on Wednesday.

“A police team rushed to scene following accident and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital where one of them succumbed to his injuries,” District Police Officer, Lower Kohistan, Sualman Khan told reporters.

The drive of vehicle, which was on its way to Hunza in Gilgit-Baltistan from Rawalpindi, could not hold control over steering while negotiating a sharp turn and it plunged into a ravine. According to police, Amjid Ali of Karimabad in Hunza succumbed to his injuries before reaching hospital.

The injured, including Amin Khan, Naeem Abbas and Amir Ahmad, all residents of Karimabad, were rushed to the nearby hospital from where doctors referred them to Ayub Medical Complex Hospital in Abbottabad.

In Barian area of Oghi Tehsil, a group of people attacked and seriously inured one Naseebullah and fled the scene. The injured was rushed to Tehsil hospital in Oghi where his condition was stated to be critical. The Oghi police after lodging FIR started an investigation to apprehend the suspects.
