Qul of Haji Misal Khan today
PESHAWAR: The Qul of Haji Misal Khan, a local elder from Mardan district, will be held today in his village Shamozai in Katlang tehsil. He was laid to rest in Shamozai on Saturday. His funeral was largely attended by people from all walks of life. He was the father of Riaz Ahmad Yousafzai, the public relations officer of the Inspector General of Police, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pervez Akhtar and Mohammad Arif. Haji Misal Khan was a social worker and political activist. He had played a role in the development activities in Shamozai and surrounding areas. He had also been a trade union leader in Nowshera. The deceased took active interest in reviving the ancient and traditional game of archery known locally as Mukha by organizing tournaments and helping the poor players. Haji Misal Khan also contributed in the founding of a madrassa in his village.
