NANKANA SAHIB: Interior Minister Ijaz Shah has said that lawyers should perform their professional duty instead of becoming pressure groups.
He said this while addressing the oath-taking ceremony of newly-elected office-bearers of the District Bar Association here on Saturday. Ijaz Shah said that it was the responsibility of lawyers to act as a medium to provide justice to the masses. He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan went to Malaysia to remove misunderstandings. He said that Pakistan was trying to remove differences and misunderstandings among the Muslim Ummah and trying to unite them. He said that the efforts of the Kashmiris would not go waste and their freedom movement would be succeeded.
He said that senior citizens counters would be established at every place, including airports. He said that it was his dream to see the progress of Nankana. He said that the work on the Baba Guru Nanak International University had been started with Rs 7 billion and its credit goes to Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Later, the minister distributed posting orders among the disabled persons recruited in the Health Department Nankana at the DC Office.
