LAKKI MARWAT: The district administration distributed compensation cheques among the affectees of Bakhmal Ahmedzai village in Tajori area on Thursday.
A function to this effect was held at the office of the deputy commissioner. About 92 flood affectees attended the event.
Deputy Commissioner Abdul Haseeb distributed the compensatory cheques amounting to Rs8.1 million among the affected residents of Bakhmal Ahmedzai village. Eleven people were killed and several houses were destroyed when flood hit the area in May last year.
