Acting VC says Fuuast facing financial crunch
The acting vice chancellor (VC) of the Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (Fuuast), Prof Dr Arif Zubair, has said Fuuast has been facing a financial crunch due to the budget cut by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.
He said the current varsity administration was striving to run the varsity’s affairs smoothly and wanted to provide maximum facilities to students, researchers, and teachers.
During his recent visit to various departments at both the campuses of the varsity in Karachi, Abdul Haq and Gulshan-e-Iqbal campuses, the acting VC also noted that some of the laboratories lacked equipment, furniture and other mandatory tools.
Teachers and senators of the varsity assured Prof Zubair during his visit that they would cooperate with the present administration. The acting VC said teachers and students should work together to bring improvements in the varsity. Fuuast Registrar Dr Sajid Jahangir was also present on the occasion.
