Inspection teams of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) have visited the Metropolitan University Karachi (MUK) to review the ongoing postgraduate programmes.
The inspection teams comprised Dr Riyaz Ahmed, Dr Azhar Mehmood, Amir Shehzad and Rizwan Ahmed as representatives of the HEC. The teams reviewed the varsity’s performance as per the HEC’s official standards. Vice Chancellor MUK Moeenuddin Ahmed applauded the efforts of the faculty staff for making the varsity eligible for fulfiling the HEC’s requirements and vowed to do the same in the future.
The VC informed the teams about the ongoing academic activities and programmes in the varsity as well as about the MUK’s policies and methods of working. The HEC teams also met the varsity’s high-ups and scrutinised the MUK’s portfolio and other documents, including a no objection certificate (NOC).
The HEC representatives expressed satisfaction over the measures taken by the MUK for maintaining and fulfiling the commission’s guidelines and criteria. MUK Chancellor Engr Siraj Khan assured that they would continue to improve the institution’s performance.
